JOHANNES KISSER

He studied chemical engineering at the University of Technology of Vienna with specialisation in food- and phytochemistry and dedicates his PhD to recovering metals from hyperaccumulating plants grown on waste incinerator residues. He started in the Environmental Protection agency of Lower Austria in 2001 with sampling waste, realising the impossibility of linear economies. He specialised in systemic thinking and circular economy solutions. He is also CSR-manager and a permanente member of alchemia-nova since 2002, where he is general manager since 2010. In 2017 he co-founded the non-profit organisation “Bioversum – nature-inspired systems” and in 2018 a daughter company of alchemia-nova in Greece. With his scrutinising life-approach and the entrepreneurial mindset he currenlty works mostly in innovation and project development as well as lecturing.
